Elgie Noble

A champion curler, Noble played a major role in the sport of curling for more than four decades. As a competitor, Noble was a two-time mixed national champion (1978, ‘83) and won the Wisconsin State Men’s Championship (1967) as skip.

Noble’s leadership skills served him well in several key roles with the USCA including assisting the merger of Men’s and Women’s National Curling Organizations. USCA president (1975-76), chairman of the Rules Committee, member of the American Curling Foundation and Museum Committee and president of the Wisconsin State Curling Association (1971-72).

Noble was a USCA director for 30 years and a USCA representative to the World Curling Federation for 14 years (1988-2002).
