DIVERSITY, Equity & INCLUSION

USA Curling is committed to fostering a community that embodies the Spirit of Curling in every way. From grassroots to podium, it is our responsibility to ensure that everyone feels welcome in our sport and is provided resources that make success possible.

The USA Curling Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Committee works to provide new pathways to our sport, as well as strategize, educate, and implement processes that allow for equal opportunities, access, and the development of membership demographics that are reflective of our communities.

The Committee, comprised of volunteers and staff members passionate about delivering long-term and sustainable change, draws on their demographic and geographic differences to work collaboratively. Currently, the Committee has Subcommittees focusing on, but not limited to, the following areas:

  • Adaptive Sport

  • BIPOC

  • Allyship

  • LGBTQIA+

  • Gender

Ice Breakers

The Ice Breakers program has been created as a tool for member clubs to enhance their Diversity & Inclusion initiatives.

USA Curling welcomes athletes of all abilities. To learn more about specific programming offered in your community, contact your local curling club.

Deaf Curling

Deaf or hard of hearing curlers are encouraged to participate in developmental programs, bonspiels, deaf world championships and the Winter Deaflympics.
