(STEVENS POINT, Wis.) – The combination of facility damages and ongoing challenges of the current pandemic have resulted in the decision to relocate the 2021 Men’s and Women’s National Championships from Cedar Rapids, Iowa.

In August, a derecho swept through Iowa, causing damage to the ImOn Ice Arena, the venue intended to host the 2021 National Championships. While repairs were projected to be completed prior to the event, COVID-19 has delayed this timeline.

With the health and safety of participants, volunteers, and host communities top-of-mind, USA Curling Staff is working diligently to determine an alternative host site for the 2021 Men’s and Women’s National Championships.

USA Curling thanks the Cedar Rapids Curling Club, the Local Organizing Committee, and the staff of the ImOn Ice Arena for their dedication to the 2021 National Championships.
