USA Curling is thrilled to bring the 2022 U18 National Championships to the Fort Wayne Curling Club in Fort Wayne, Indiana on Mar. 31 – Apr. 3, 2022.

After a brief hiatus due to challenges presented by the pandemic, USA Curling will again welcome two separate fields of the nation’s top U18 (under 18 years of age) boys and girls curling teams for the National Championships.

“Hosting events like this are hugely important to the sport’s pipeline in the United States,” said USA Curling CEO Jeff Plush. “Any chance we can partner with a member club to provide additional pathways for grassroots or up-and-coming curlers is a tremendous opportunity for all parties involved.”

Introduced to USA Curling in 2017, the U18 National Championships are a regional-based, geographic championship. While the U18 National Championships do not lead to a world championship, they do serve as an added competitive experience to help develop junior curlers.

“We couldn’t be more excited to have this year’s Championships in a market as important and dedicated to our sport as Fort Wayne,” added Plush.

The Fort Wayne Curling Club was re-established in 2010 at an arena, garnering interest in learn-to-curl events and 4-end games before moving to a dedicated facility in 2014. In 2019, the Fort Wayne Curling Club moved again to another dedicated facility that now boasts four sheets and a vast experience of hosting events.

USA Curling thanks the Fort Wayne Curling Club for hosting the 2022 U18 National Championships and all volunteers that will make this year’s Championships possible.

*Event details will be added to the 2022 Championships homepage once available.

USA Curling is sponsored by Columbia Sportswear, Toyota, Twin Cities Orthopedics, Training HAUS, Brakebush, ISS (Ice, Sports & Solar), and Sitrin, and is partnered with IHG, Rock Solid Productions Inc., Laurie Artiss Ltd. – The Pin People.
