2022 USA CURLING WHEELCHAIR MIXED DOUBLES NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP

The inaugural World Wheelchair Mixed Doubles Curling Championship will take place in Lohja, Finland on Apr. 30 – May 6, 2022.
The Championship is scheduled following the 2022 Paralympic Winter Games to allow athletes to compete in the World Championship and the Games should they qualify to do so.
USA Curling will select its team through the newly established 2022 Wheelchair Mixed Doubles National Championship.
Due to the postponement of the National Championship originally scheduled for January in Wausau, the rescheduled Championship will be hosted by Kettle Moraine Curling Club in Hartland, Wisc. on Mar. 27-29, 2022.
“We’re really looking forward providing another avenue for our athletes to achieve world level experience and competitive success,” said Wheelchair National Team Director Pete Annis. “Adding this discipline creates more opportunities, which will continue to build exposure for the sport and strengthen our pipeline.”
The 2022 Wheelchair Mixed Doubles National Championship will welcome the following five teams of one man and one woman:
Matt Thums & Oyuna Uranchimeg
David Samsa & Pam Wilson
Shawn Sadowski & Laura Dwyer
Patrick McDonald & Stacy Bates
Shawn Timberlake & Lisa Maddux
At the conclusion of the Championship, the first ever U.S. Wheelchair Mixed Doubles National Champion will be crowned and advance to represent the United States at the inaugural World Championship.
