MYUSACURLING.COM POWERED BY SPORT:80

In the spring of 2020, CEO Jeff Plush and Director of Member Services, Steven O’Keefe, set out on a nationwide virtual tour to connect with every USA Curling member club in the country.

While the conversations served as an excellent opportunity for Plush to become acquainted with the sport of curling and the hard-working and passionate individuals who keep the clubs going, they also highlighted the disconnect between the individual curler and the National Governing Body (NGB).

USA Curling’s member services team has since been hard at work developing a solution to transform membership into one that serves the individual curler, allowing access to sign up for, manage, and edit their USA Curling membership on their own. This accessibility is made possible through myusacurling.com, powered by Sport:80.

The Sport:80 platform, implemented by NGBs such as USA Archery, Climbing, Track & Field, Weightlifting, and Taekwondo, aids in curing operational inefficiencies, resulting in increased member engagement, satisfaction, and scalable growth.

Individuals will still be able to work with club administrators as they have in the past, however, myusacurling.com will now offer the option of self-service, as the platform will develop to include everything from event registration to Safesport compliance, acting as a one-stop-shop for everything needed to pursue their unique curling journey.

The launch of this Platform, originally scheduled for February 2, 2021, has been postponed.

Over the next few weeks, USA Curling will be collaborating with club leadership and board members to confidently deliver a rollout plan that is empathetic and well-executed.

Pertinent information and next steps will be distributed to the full USA Curling membership database, as well as shared to the new USA Curling website.

This is an exciting development for curling in the United States as myusacurling.com will enhance member autonomy and support the continuous innovation of member services!

Please contact the member services team with any inquiries regarding this transition at support@myusacurling.zendesk.com.
