Bev Schroeder was a fixture in the curling world for four decades at the club, national and international levels as a player, mentor, coach, and team leader. Her passion for growing the sport, especially at the junior curling level, was evident throughout her coaching and playing career. She has had a lasting positive impact on many curlers who have moved on to great success.

Curling was Bev’s passion, but her true calling was working with junior curlers to help them develop as better athletes and better adults both on and off the ice. And, she believed in the power of education as an essential part of that development.

In cooperation with the United States Curling Association, an annual scholarship fund has been established in Bev’s name to assist junior curlers in achieving their academic goals while also pursuing their curling dreams.
