Matthew Thums (Skip), Steve Emt (Vice-skip), David Samsa (Second), Oyuna Uranchimeg (Lead), and Pam Wilson (Alternate) will represent Team USA at the 2022 Paralympic Games.

All five athletes named to Team USA were on the U.S. Wheelchair National Team that qualified for the 2021 World Wheelchair Curling Championship after winning the gold medal at the 2021 World-B Wheelchair Curling Championship.

Serving as a qualification event for the 2022 Winter Paralympic Games, the United States needed to finish within the top seven of the overall rankings or place above Italy in the standings at the conclusion of competition at the 2021 World Wheelchair Curling Championship.

Team USA qualified for the playoffs and placed fourth overall, earning a berth to the 2022 Winter Paralympic Games in Beijing, China.

The Team selections were made by National Coach Rusty Schieber and National Team Director Pete Annis.

“These athletes bought in and never looked back,” said Schieber. “They have given all they’ve got for the last 20 months, and it starts again March 3rd, " which is when the Team USA kicks off the 2022 Paralympic Games.

The Paralympics will be held on Mar. 4-13, 2022, in Beijing, China.

USA Curling is sponsored by Columbia Sportswear, Toyota, Twin Cities Orthopedics, Training HAUS, Brakebush, ISS (Ice, Sports & Solar), and Sitrin, and is partnered with IHG, Rock Solid Productions Inc., Laurie Artiss Ltd. – The Pin People, and United Airlines.
