[EAGAN, MN, January 23, 2024] —The 2024 Men's & Women's National Championships will kick off in less than one week at one of the most unique championship venues in the country. From Jan. 29 to Feb. 4th, 2024, USA Curling will host the top domestic competition of the year at The Rink at American Dream in East Rutherford, New Jersey.

The American Dream Complex includes more than three million square feet of attractions, including an indoor theme park, water park, ski slope and luxury shops. The Rink is American Dream’s NHL regulation size ice rink that will provide a one-of-a-kind backdrop for curling. Notably, this year’s championship location also marks the highest level of curling competition to be hosted in the New York City area.

“It is exciting to see how the team at USA Curling is creating a world-class event for our athletes—and making it happen in such a unique location,” said Dean Gemmell, CEO of USA Curling. “The Rink and the mall setting offers us a great opportunity to reach more casual fans, while being in the country’s largest media market provides terrific exposure for our elite players.”

Fans have the opportunity to choose from three levels of viewing options:

  • Premium—located on the second floor Mezzanine.

  • Ice Level—it doesn’t get any closer to the action than this.

  • Upper Level Standing—the highest vantage point and the most affordable ticket option.

Sixteen teams, eight in each category for the men and women, will vie for the championship titles. Opening ceremonies will held at 5:45 PM on Monday, January 29th. Qualifying round play begins that evening with a Women’s Session at 7 PM. Play and continues all week with the championship finals on February 4th at 12 PM (Women’s) and 4 PM (Men’s). View the full competition schedule here.

With a coveted berth in the 2025 Olympic Team Trials at stake for both the men’s and women’s fields, the stakes are high. The winning women’s team will represent the United States at the 2024 World Women’s Curling Championships in Sydney, Nova Scotia, Canada, while the men’s champion will head to the 2024 World Men’s Curling Championships in Schaffhausen, Switzerland.

Fans at The Rink will witness top-notch competition with 11 Olympians slated to compete, including the 2018 Olympic gold medalists. Numerous past national champions will also be on the ice. And a player who once chased down quarterbacks at adjacent MetLife Stadium will be there—Jared Allen, former All-Pro who turned his athletic focus to curling after retiring from the NFL, is a member of Team Ruohenen. The complete field announcement is available here.
