WORLD JUNIOR MIXED DOUBLES KICKS OFF, WENDLING AND PARAL TO REPRESENT UNITED STATES
The final major international curling event of the season gets underway today, as the Booster Juice World Junior Mixed Doubles Curling Championship runs from May 5th through the 10th at the Saville Center in Edmonton, AB, Canada.
FARBELOW CAPTURES GOLD AT WORLD SENIOR MEN’S CHAMPIONSHIP
Team Farbelow (Mike Farbelow, Rich Ruohonen, Bill Stopera, Darren Lehto) now boasts a full set of medals from the ACE & Company World Senior Men’s Curling Championship—silver in 2024, bronze in 2025, and now gold in 2026.

USA Curling has been made aware of the recent charges against Dan Lieburn. Lieburn served as a coach and Board member with the US Junior Curling Association (USJCA). The USJCA is an independent organization and is not an affiliate of USA Curling, and Lieburn has not been a member of USA Curling since 2022.
TEAM KUNKEL TOPS FIELD AT FIVE-AND-UNDER NATIONALS
The nation’s top curlers with five years of experience or less took to the ice this week at the Granite Club of Seattle for the 2026 USA Curling Five-and-Under National Championship, and after a competitive week of play it was Team Kunkel (Jeff Kunkel, Woody Wu, Kenny Duncan, Matt O’Brien, Hal Brown, Coach Jeff Baird) emerging as national champions.
WORLD MIXED DOUBLES CHAMPIONSHIP GETS UNDERWAY IN GENEVA
Curling fans have turned their focus on Switzerland, as the ACE & Company World Mixed Doubles Championship begin in Geneva, running from April 25th through May 2nd at the Centre Sportif Sous-Moulin, home of Curling Club Trois-Chêne. The ACE & Company World Senior Curling Championships 2026 will run concurrently at the same venue.

The 2026 Mixed Fours National Championship was decided by the slimmest of margins, with Team Workin (Evan Workin, Rachel Workin, Jordan Brown, Christina Wilwand) from the Dakota Territory defeating two-time defending champion Team Falco (David Falco, Becca Wood, Lance Wheeler, Clare Moores) in a thrilling extra-end final.

The 2026 Junior Mixed Doubles National Championship, hosted by the Cape Cod Curling Club in Falmouth, MA, came to a close on Sunday afternoon, with Ella Wendling and Benji Paral defeating Jersey Hollands and Connor Grabow by a score of 8-7.

USA Curling is scheduling its first Emerging Talent Showcase, an opportunity for young players in the country to have their skills evaluated, gain feedback to help improve, and develop relationships with other like-minded competitors.
2026-27 USA CURLING FIVE-AND-UNDER NATIONALS: QUALIFIER BONSPIEL APPLICATION NOW OPEN
USA Curling will select the 23 Five-and-Under Bonspiels (events for curlers over the age of 21 who have been actively participating in the sport for five years or less) that will serve as qualifier events for the 2027 Five-and-Under Nationals.
