[EDEN PRAIRIE, MN, October 5, 2026] — At the 2026 Members’ Meeting, held this past Saturday at Rock Creek Curling in Colorado, USA Curling proposed a new event—The Members’ Championship.

The goal of this championship is to celebrate all who play the sport and offer more people an opportunity to compete for a national title. USA Curling is planning to hold the event in May of 2027. Like the Senior Men’s & Women’s National Championships, this event will be open-entry.

While realizing that no proposal will be universally loved, USA Curling would like feedback from members on The Members’ Championship rules and restrictions. As stated during the Members’ Meeting, there is a public comment period through October 19th, 2026. Members can use this online form to share their thoughts and feedback.
