[EDEN PRAIRIE, MN, October 13, 2025] — Spotlights are everywhere in Las Vegas, and they will shine brightly on top curlers this week as the 2025 USA Curling Men’s & Women’s Arena National Championships get underway.
The event, running from October 14-19 at CurlVegas, brings together 24 teams from arena clubs—USA Curling Member Clubs that play regularly on prepped skating ice and share a multi-use facility. The competing teams earned berths in the championship through regional playdowns, the qualifier bonspiel, or defending champion status.
“Any curler who plays on prepped skating ice knows the challenges all too well,” noted USA Curling CEO Dean Gemmell. “But the efforts of these clubs are a major part of our sport’s growth, and it’s always exciting to see how dedicated these players are to competitive excellence. It’s a great way to kick off our championship season.”
Since CurlVegas is the most recent Member Club in the United States to make the transition to a curling-specific facility from an arena setting, the location is also a celebration of that process. The four-sheet club opened in 2024.
2024 Women’s champions Team Asis (Jennifer Asis, Jaclyn Pytlarz, Kathalin Alsmeier, Melissa Wheeler, Sydney Jorgensen, Coach Jeremy Malerich)and Men’s champions Team Spangler (Carmen Spangler, William Hillman, Brian Feldman, Jr., Brian Feldman, Sr. ) are in the field and looking to defend the titles they captured last year in Wausau, WI, at the Wausau Curling Club. They’ll face a deep field that has no shortage of former champions and medalists.
