[EDEN PRAIRIE, MN, April 21, 2026] — The 2026 Men’s & Women’s Arena Club National Championships, an event for curlers who play regularly on prepped skating ice in an arena setting, will be held from November 11-15, 2026, in Irving, TX, at the Dallas-Fort Worth Curling Club.
Dallas-Fort Worth, a longtime arena club, recently signed a lease and began renovations to convert a space into its own dedicated ice facility, and are planning their first bonspiel in July. For the members of the DFW Curling Club, it is the culmination of a years-long effort.
“It is so energizing when we bring this championship to clubs that have made the leap from curling on skating ice to a curling-specific facility,” said USA Curling CEO Dean Gemmell. “We know the process is challenging, and we are truly grateful to those clubs who are able to make the journey. This championship will be both a great celebration and a terrific competition.”
The Arena Nationals features fields of 12 Men’s and 12 Women’s teams. Teams are divided into two pools of six, with the top three advancing to the playoffs. The first place teams in each pool earn a bye to the semi-finals, while the other teams compete in a preliminary playoff round.
DFW Curling President Brigitte Robertson said, “We’re thrilled to partner with USA Curling on this championship in our new dedicated curling facility. Just being in our own building reflects years of effort by all kinds of people. Arena curlers are incredibly dedicated, and we have persisted and thrived during all of those years spent curling on skating ice.”
The Arena Club Nationals are a regionally-based championship, with teams earning berths through playdowns organized by their regional associations, along with one berth that is awarded to the winner of a Last Chance Qualifier bonspiel hosted by the La Crosse Curling Club in September.
