[EAGAN, MN, November 7, 2023]  — The 2023 U.S. Arena Curling National Championships are returning to Eveleth, MN, beginning this Thursday. Competition is slated to run November 9th to 12th.

For the second year in a row, teams from around the country will make their way to Curl Mesabi at the Range Recreation Civic Center, an impressive 8-sheet club that stands as one of the premier curling facilities in the nation. Curl Mesabi is no stranger to hosting high-level curling events. In its short 25 years of existence, the club has famously hosted the 2007 World Junior Curling Championships and the 2021 U.S. Mixed Doubles Olympic Trials. After successfully holding the 2022 Arena Nationals, the club is ready to welcome back the tournament for its second edition on the Iron Range.

“We are thrilled to return to Curl Mesabi for another year,” expressed USA Curling CEO Dean Gemmell. “Craig Doughty and his team have been so supportive of our curlers who play in arena settings, and I know the competitors will be excited to vie for a national championship on great ice in a first-class venue.”

Established in 2013, the Arena Nationals provide an opportunity for players who do not have regular access to dedicated curling ice to compete against each other in top-tier conditions. An arena club is defined as a club that is a member in good standing of USA Curling and conducts all its on-ice activities by renting ice from a facility that is not solely or predominantly used for curling.
