[EAGAN, MN, June 5, 2023]  — USA Curling has added an Independent Director to its Board, while also filling the important roles of Secretary and Treasurer.

Paul Wilson has joined USA Curling as an Independent Director. Previously, Wilson was the Senior Vice President for Olympic Ad Sales at NBCUniversal, overseeing commercial inventory for every Games since Athens in 2004. He assisted commercial partners with the emergence of streaming technology, managed the postponement of the 2020 Games, and helped drive an increase in commercial support for the Paralympics

"Paul is a terrific addition to our Board," said Bret Jackson, Chair of USA Curling. “In addition to his passion for the Olympic and Paralympic Movements, he brings a wealth of sports-related business experience. In his relatively short time with us, he has proven to be an effective collaborator and is eager to help advance the sport of curling in this country.”

Dick Dawson has been named as the Secretary to the USA Curling Board. A graduate of Columbia University, Dawson has focused on development and enterprise sales for software companies throughout his career. He is currently the Vice President of Strategic Accounts at Jebbit, an online advertising support service that creates interaction and engagement between consumers and brands, and curls at the Broomstones Curling Club in Wayland, MA. Dawson replaces outgoing Secretary Gordon Maclean, who devoted countless hours to USA Curling and served the organization with distinction for many years.

Alexis Boccanfuso has been appointed Treasurer at USA Curling. Based in Connecticut, Boccanfuso recently completed a term as the President of the Nutmeg Curling Club in Bridgeport. Away from the ice, she provides financial organizing and productivity consulting services to high-net-worth clients and small businesses. Boccanfuso has a BS in Business Administration from Pepperdine, and previously worked at Deloitte and KPMG in New York City.

“I’m thrilled that Alexis and Dick accepted these key appointments, and grateful they are willing to devote their time and talents to the organization,” added USA Curling CEO Dean Gemmell. “Both will provide critical guidance and oversight, and I look forward to working with them.”
