CHAMPIONSHIP SITES—UPDATE

[EAGAN, MN, February 12, 2024] — As part of an effort to secure sites for USA Curling events well in advance, the national organization is sharing current opportunities to host national championships through 2027.
“We realize that our Member Clubs have full calendars and that it takes considerable planning to incorporate a national championship into their schedules,” said Dean Gemmell, CEO of USA Curling. “In addition to planning and working with hosts much earlier than in the past, we’re working hard to be good partners and make these events positive experiences for clubs.”
Listed below are all USA Curling National Championships, along with the years in need of a host site. USA Curling welcomes discussion of multi-year arrangements, or partnering with another club to host an event every other year.
Gemmell added, “The organization is grateful to all our Member Clubs that have hosted or are making plans to host. We have national championships for curlers of nearly every age and experience level, and it’s always exciting to bring competitors from around the country together.”

Five - six sheet MINIMUM
Arena Club Nationals. Years available: 2024, 2025, 2026, 2027. Can be held in a a dedicated ice curling club or an arena setting if financial requirements can be met. Six sheets preferred. Can be split between two clubs in close proximity to produce six sheets or more. Target date is mid-November.
U18 Nationals. Years available: 2028. Six sheets preferred. Can be split between two clubs in close proximity to produce six sheets or more. Target date is mid-January. Will be at Rock Creek Curling through 2026.
Senior Nationals (Men’s and Women’s). Years available: 2025, 2026, 2027. Combined event is preferred. Five sheets minimum if Men’s and Women’s held concurrently. Can be split between two clubs in close proximity to produce multiple sheets. Target date is mid-February to mid-March.
Club Nationals. Years available: 2025, 2026, 2027. Preference is six sheets. Can be split between two clubs in close proximity to produce six sheets or more. Target date is mid-March to early April.
Five-and-Under Nationals. Years available: 2026, 2027. Six sheets preferred. Can be split between two clubs in close proximity to produce six sheets or more.
three - four sheet MINIMUM
Mixed Fours Nationals. Years available: 2027, 2028. Minimum of three sheets. Target date is mid-April.
U21 Junior Nationals. Years available: 2028. Minimum of four sheets. Arena setting can also be considered if financial conditions can be met. Target date is early April.
Wheelchair Mixed Doubles Nationals. Years available: 2027, 2028. Minimum of three sheets.
College Nationals. Years available: 2025, 2026, 2027. Four sheets or more required.
At-Large Playdowns
Men’s Club Nationals At-Large Playdown. Years available: 2025, 2026, 2027. Four sheets or more preferred. May become a Recognized Regional Association event in the future.
At-Large Playdown for Women’s Club Nationals. Years available: 2025, 2026, 2027. Three sheets or more preferred. May become a Recognized Regional Association event in the future.
At-Large Playdown for Men’s Club Nationals. Years available: 2025, 2026, 2027. Four sheets or more preferred. May become a Recognized Regional Association event in the future.
At-Large Playdown for U18 Nationals. Years available: 2026, 2027. Three sheets or more preferred. May become a Recognized Regional Association event in the future.
At-Large Playdown for Arena Club Nationals. Years available: 2025, 2026, 2027. Curling club or arena setting if financial requirements can be met. Three sheets or more preferred. May become a Recognized Regional Association event in the future.
Arena location
Men’s & Women’s Nationals. Years available: 2025, 2026, 2027. Arena setting. USA Curling chooses site, leads organization and event, but works closely with local clubs and community organizations. 2025 bid process underway and bids have been submitted. Target date for event is last week of January/first week of February. Finishes on the Sunday prior to Super Bowl Sunday.
Mixed Doubles Nationals. Years available: 2025, 2026, 2027. Can be in a curling club or arena setting if financial requirements are met. Four sheets or more required. Target date is mid-February to early March.
