INTRODUCTION TO CURLING COMPETITION DISCUSSION SEPTEMBER 16

[EDEN PRAIRIE, MN, August 27, 2026] USA Curling will host a virtual Introduction to Competition on September 16th at 7 PM Central. This event will be moderated by the Arena Club Advisory Group, but ALL CURLERS (not just arena curlers!) interested in getting a start in competition are encouraged to join. Ben Hoppe, author of the Stones and Stripes Newsletter that closely follows competitive curling in the United States, will join as a guest speaker.

Topics will include, but are not limited to, the following: 

  • The Competitive Landscape (and how I fit in)

  • Where do I start?

  • MyUSACurling.com (Sport:80)

  • Regional Events

  • Last Chance Events

  • Officials / Timekeepers / Volunteers

Registration is not required to attend but by registering, you will be emailed the link directly, you will receive a reminder of the event, and you will be able to request presentation materials, such as slides, videos, and other resources that are shared during the meeting.
