USA CURLING NAMES 2023-24 NATIONAL TEAMS

[EAGAN, MN, June 28, 2023]  — USA Curling has announced National Team rosters and Development Pool athletes for the 2023-24 season across Men’s, Women’s, Mixed Doubles and Juniors.

The National Team roster is compiled by USA Curling national coaching staff, based on a collection of national and international results during the 2022-23 season, objective performance metrics, and team position on the World Curling Federation Team Ranking System.

“We are very excited to announce our National Team and Development Pool athletes for the upcoming season,” said Katie Baker, USA Curling Sporting Director. “We are at a sweet spot in the lead-up to the next Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games where we have time for these athletes to take advantage of the resources available and see the results as they continue to refine and elevate their level of play.”

Athletes named to the National Team receive funding from the United States Olympic & Paralympic Committee and coaching from USA Curling’s national coaching staff. USA Curling sponsors Columbia Sportswear, Twin Cities Orthopedics, and Training HAUS also support the National Team.

The USA Curling Development Pool will expand this season to include ten women and ten men. These individuals can have training sessions with national coaching staff, work on physical conditioning through the Training Haus, and get assistance planning their seasons.

Following their win at the 2023 USA Curling Junior National Championships, Team Scheel and Team Wendling will represent the United States at the World Junior B Championships and subsequently the 2024 World Junior Championships. The team line ups were completed with input from National Coaches to best prepare them for the World Championships. 

The USA Curling National Team rosters and the Development Pool includes 39 athletes. National Team athletes will launch their preparation for the upcoming season at a training camp in Blaine, MN, in early August.
