HEBERT, JOHNSON HAVE USA OFF TO STRONG STARTS AT WORLD JUNIOR CHAMPIONSHIPS

[EDEN PRAIRIE, MN, February 26, 2026] — The young teams representing the United States are off to strong starts at at the World Junior Curling Championships in Denmark.
After four sessions, Team Hebert (Caden Hebert, Jackson Bestland, Benji Paral, Jack Wendtland, Daniel Laufer) has a 4-0 record and is tied at the top of the men’s standings with Canada and Scotland. On the women’s side, Team Johnson (Allory Johnson, Gianna Johnson, Morgan Zacher, Bailey Vaydich, Ella Wendling) sits at 2-2 after recording a victory over Switzerland—five other teams are just ahead of them at 3-1.
Looking ahead, the men’s team will face Scotland, Poland, Italy, Denmark, and Canada. Johnson and her teammates will play Germany, Turkey, Canada, Denmark, and Korea.
The top four teams of each gender will qualify for the semi-finals, scheduled for Monday, March 3rd, with finals set to go the following day.
Team Hebert, based out of the Eau Claire Curling Club in Eau Claire, WI, earned the right to represent the United States by winning the 2025 Junior Men’s National Championship. Team Johnson, based out of the Four Seasons Curling Club in Blaine, MN, and the Fargo-Moorhead Curling Club in Fargo, ND, won the Junior Women’s title in 2025.
Games are available on the Curling Channel, with two feature games per day in near-broadcast quality, with all other games covered by stationary cameras.
