CLUB NATIONALS GET UNDERWAY IN FARGO

[EDEN PRAIRIE, MN, April 3rd, 2024] — The 2024 Club National Championships are on tap this week as twenty-four teams will make their way to the Fargo-Moorhead Curling Club in Fargo, North Dakota, for four days of fierce competition.
The six-sheet F-M Curling Club is a destination facility both in the state of North Dakota and the United States. Established in 1938, the club experienced years of success before moving to a state-of-the-art facility in 2013. The new location has quickly become a highly-regarded host for national events, notably welcoming the 2015 Club Nationals through its doors not long after opening. Almost a decade after teams skipped by Lyle Sieg of Washington and Nicole Reiser of North Dakota claimed gold, the top club teams will return to the Fargo club for a chance to stand atop the podium themselves.
“We’re excited to bring high-level curling back to Fargo,” remarked USA Curling CEO Dean Gemmell. “The city and championships have become synonymous in recent years, as we’ve had the opportunity to host great competitions at both the curling club and nearby Scheels Arena. We can’t wait to see teams representing Member Clubs playing for a title and the chance to represent the country at the Everest North American Curling Club Championships in September.”
The 2024 edition of the Club Nationals will display a multitude of talented curlers seeking to make their mark on this year’s championships. In the women’s event, Team Politano will seek to defend its title, returning three-quarters of its Ardsley Curling Club-based foursome that captured the championship in 2023. There will be no back-to-back winner on the men’s side, but 2022 champion Team Siggins out of the Coyotes Curling Club in Tempe, AZ will try to make it two championships in three years. Both fields are rounded out by competitors who have seen ice time in numerous national championships, including Men’s and Women’s, Mixed Doubles, Seniors, and Arenas.
Teams in both the men’s and women’s events will be split into two pools of six and play a round robin within their pool. The top two teams in each pool will advance to the playoffs with the finals and bronze medal games being played on Saturday.
