FIVE-AND-UNDER NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP SCHEDULED FOR SEATTLE IN CLUB’S 75TH YEAR

[EDEN PRAIRIE, MN, June 10, 2025]  USA Curling is proud to announce that the 2026 Five-and-Under National Championship will be held at the Granite Curling Club of Seattle, renowned for its rich history, passionate membership, and history of competitive success.

The event will run from April 22nd through April 26th.

Andrea Katkansky, Granite Club President, said, “We strive to be welcoming to new participants and a place for spirited competition, so this event is a natural fit for our club and a great way to help celebrate the 75th anniversary of Granite Curling Club.”

This USA Curling event, one of 18 national championships the organization holds each year, is open to participants who have played the sport for less than five years and are aged 21 or older. Teams earn berths in the Five-and-Under Nationals through the 23 Qualifying Bonspiels that were recently announced. Additionally, the host club is granted a representative to complete the 24-team field.

“We’re excited to bring the Five-and-Under Nationals, an event that has soared in popularity in recent years, to Seattle,” said Dean Gemmell, CEO of USA Curling. “The Granite Club boasts a robust membership and committed leadership, and has long been a cornerstone of the sport in the Pacific Northwest. We look forward to working the club to deliver an outstanding experience for athletes and their families and friends.”

This past season, Team Campbell of the Coyotes Curling Club (Darren Campbell, Josh Bernstein, Jared Keesling, Paige Peterson, Coach Mike Siggins), captured the championship at the Saint Paul Curling Club in Saint Paul, MN.

The list of 2025-26 Qualifier Bonspiels can be found here. For information about eligibility for Five-and-Under Nationals, please review the 2025-26 Qualifying Procedures.
