DALLAS FORT-WORTH, SIOUX FALLS CAPTURE ARENA CLUB NATIONALS TITLES

[EDEN PRAIRIE, MN, October 20, 2025]  When the 2025 USA Curling Arena Nationals concluded on Sunday, there were both new and familiar faces on the top of the podium.

In the women’s final, it was Team Andenas-Weber (Morgan Andenas-Weber, Jennifer Anglin, Sarah Linneman, Samantha Garrett, Coach Austin Weber) from the Sioux Falls Curling Club and the Dakota Territory who emerged with gold after defeating Team Robertson (Brigitte Robertson, Liana Knott, Heather Cook, Carrie Lambert, Coach Darryl Horsman) from the Dallas-Fort Worth Curling Club and the Mid-America Curling Association by a score of 6-2.

The women’s bronze medal matchup featured 2024 champions Team Asis (Jennifer Asis, Jaclyn Pytlarz, Kathalin Alsmeier, Melissa Wheeler, Sydney Jorgensen, Coach Jeremy Malerich) from the Silicon Valley Curling Club and the Mountain-Pacific Curling Association against Team Mercer (Katy Mercer, Rebecca Storey, Shana Miskovsky, Betsy Feighan) from the Cleveland Skating Club and the Great Lakes Curling Association by a score of 10-6.

On the men’s side, Team Myers (Nick Myers, Laith Sando, Kevin Roberts, John Lambert) from the Dallas-Fort Worth Curling Club and the Mid-America Curling Association captured their fifth Arena Nationals title, and their third since the regional playdown process was introduced in 2022. In the gold medal matchup, they defeated Team Ridder (Nic Ridder, Nic Swiercek, Doug Michel, David Hill, Isaiah Jacobsen) from the Aksarben Curling Club by a score of 6-4. Ridder, also out of the Mid-America Curling Association, qualified for the event through the Last Chance Qualifier Bonspiel in La Crosse, WI, this past September. The Omaha-based team also earned silver medals in 2024.

In the men’s bronze medal game, 2024 champions Team Spangler (Camren Spangler, William Hillman, Brian Feldman, Jr., Brian Feldman, Sr.) from the Wine Country Curling Club and the Mountain-Pacific Curling Association won 7-3 over Team Schlimovitz (Peter Galsworthy, Nathan Day, Austin Frank, Dan O'Neill) of the Grand Rapids Curling Club and the Great Lakes Curling Association. Galsworthy took over skipping duties for the event when Schlimovitz was unable to attend.

USA Curling CEO Dean Gemmell noted, “It was great to bring this championship to CurlVegas, the club in the country that has most recently moved from curling on rented ice in an arena to their own curling-specific facility. The competing teams provided top-flight curling on the ice, while the team at CurlVegas worked tirelessly to deliver a first-rate experience off it.”
