TIEBREAKERS SET AT 2021 U.S. MIXED DOUBLES NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP

At the conclusion of round-robin pool play at the 2021 U.S. Mixed Doubles National Championship, six teams have qualified for playoffs, while five teams compete for the two remaining spots.

With the top two teams from each pool advancing to the quarterfinals, the following teams have qualified directly:

Pool A: Persinger/Plys

Pool B: Rhyme/Smith

Pool C: Bear/Stopera & Dudt/Dudt

Pool D: Geving/Violette & Sinclair Ruohonen

Due to tied records at the conclusion of the round-robin, the following tiebreakers will be played this morning (May 22) at 9:00AM CT.

Pool A: Burchesky/Richardson will play McMakin/Fenson, where the winner will advance to the playoffs.

Pool B: Mullaney/Sinnett will play Walker/Leichter. The winner of that game will play Moores/Wheeler and the winner will advance to playoffs.

The remainder of the 2021 U.S. Mixed Doubles National Championship will be streamed live to USA Curling’s Youtube channel.

The top four teams at the conclusion of the Championship will earn berths to the 2022 Mixed Doubles Olympic Trials.

Live scoring of the 2021 U.S. Mixed Doubles National Championship will be available on the USA Curling website throughout the duration of the event and TESN coverage will be livestreaming the playoffs of the Championship on May 22-23.
